Brittany Gray met with Vancouver Sun’s Beauty and Fashion Editor Aleesha Harris to discuss how to go from your everyday makeup to holiday glam in no time flat.
I was asked by PR Agency OverCat Communications to represent Stila Cosmetics in Vancouver for an event that teamed up myself and Stila for a hands on demonstration of holiday looks with the wow factor. Providing makeup demonstrations for people in public relations and media as well as television personalities, our team of Fancy Face artists had appointments every 30 minutes to showcase new products in the Stila line. Vancouver Sun’s Aleesha was one of our appointments; Aleesha and I had first met a few years ago while Aleesha was climbing the career ladder and I was still growing my business and family! We bonded as we shared stories of my two children the travels Aleesha’s career has taken her on, excited to see where life had taken us both. After much conversation, it was back to business.

I worked with Aleesha to show how you can take a workday look and quickly transform it into a party look. I also recorded a voice over and video demo in studio to show a full demonstration using Stila’s Vivid and Vibrant Collection, a series of six shimmer colours that can be used as both liner and shadow. In 5 minutes, I transformed an everyday work look into glamourous, party ready beauty with the perfect amount of shimmer and a gorgeous amethyst cat eye. Teaming up with Aleesha and Stila, I was thrilled to have the opportunity to glam up the wonderful guests and teach them how to bring out their inner diva this holiday season!
