Valentine’s Day Family Photoshoot

In the midst of a busy day, I had the pleasure of bringing my family to Mint Room Studios for a special Valentine’s Day Family Photoshoot.

While I was working at one of my favourite and regular work haunts, the amazing Mint Room Studios in Toronto, alongside esteemed designer Rachel Clingen, I had the pleasure of putting together a quick one hour family photoshoot with Purple Tree Photography. My beautiful girl Ivy Faith Genevieve and darling boy Nash William brought even more joy to my day as we posed for pictures together.

I had been discussing doing a Valentine’s Day shoot with Mint Studios and Purple Tree to help advertise Mint’s big Ombre Balloon Valentine’s feature and we were able to sneak in an hour during Rachel’s website rebrand shoot to work with the awesome Alina who works directly with the studio. We had a beautiful and very special shoot with my two children and it was so wonderful to capture our little moment together. We missed having my husband there, as he had to work, but the kids were darling! Ivy wore a sweet pink dress with a bow and lots of pearls and was so precious, and Nash was looking so handsome and smart in his shirtless suspendered pants and fedora. So grateful to my mom and our wonderful Nanny Nadine for helping me with these two gems! Thank you! The shoot was up in this incredible loft space, so open and versatile. I’d highly recommend it for any shoot or event that you want to take photos during, it really is gorgeous!

I wore a black and white dress and glasses and for my hair and makeup used a few different products to compliment the look of the shoot. Tatcha Silk Canvas Primer and Too Faced Born This Way Concealer are amazing, makeup forever HD Foundation in stick format is a go to, I also used Laura Mercier Translucent Setting Powder. For my eyes, I used Anastasia Soft Glam Palate and their Brow Powder on my eyebrows. Anastasia was also perfect as I used their Blush Quad to help add soft colour. To set my brows I used Mac brow mascaras and gave my lids a pop with Stila glitters. Stila also has a fabulous Huge Extreme Lash Mascara that I used to complete my eye look alongside Ardell Wispies Lashes. For my lips I used Mac Stripped Down liner and for my hair I used Schwarzkopf products. Their Osis line and Volume Up spray are awesome and their Dust It Powder is an absolute favourite of mine! I also used a couple products from our soon-to-be launched Fancy Face line – one of our new lipsticks and our under eye patches to keep my eyes bright!

We had a quick shoot but it was amazing. So grateful to everyone for helping to make our family time so memorable!
