NHL Wedding Ryan and Sydney Strome | Toronto

We had the wonderful opportunity to work alongside the sweetest NHL couple, Ryan and Sydney Strome, at Toronto’s Evergreen Brickworks. What a special day!

This summer we spent a day working alongside New York Ranger Ryan Strome and his gorgeous wife, Sydney, to help her get fancified for their perfect day. A family of hockey lovers and professional NHL players, Ryan and his brothers traded in their sticks and skates for tuxes and celebrated at Evergreen Brickworks in Toronto. Our dear friends Ashley Pigott of Ashley Pigott Events and Rachel A. Clingen planned the day and designed the florals and decor. Tara McMullen captured it all with her awesome photography.

The venue was the ideal spot to see the couple tie the knot, with the ceremony taking place in an absolute fairytale garden setting with a stunning floral canopy that surrounded the couple while they exchanged vows. Dusty blues, creams and peaches were the colours of the day and featured in the florals as well as the table settings and even the floor design in the chic and trendy brickworks where their reception and dinner took place. The cake was, as always when it comes to Nadia and Co. cake designs, incredible!

Sydney was beautiful in her Whyte Couture gown, and it was an absolute treat to create her bridal hair and makeup look. To gently blend the natural, romantic and whimsical feel of the wedding venue and garden surroundings, we went for a gorgeous, natural look with a bit of glam for the eyes. Sydney’s hair was pulled back into a loose, low chignon with strands freely framing her face. For her makeup, we created a wonderfully natural, glowing look that was spectacularly elevated simply by her enormous smile on her special day! We gave the bride a glossy lip and glam lashes and liner for that extra pop for her bridal look. Sydney was the sweetest, loveliest bride and we had so much fun working with her!
