This month, I wanted to share our love and support for local businesses and brilliant entrepreneurs. While we’re so excited and loving our new Rosé Wine and Peaches Collection, I’m super keen to gush about what I’m currently coveting outside of Fancy Face, so stay tuned for my beauty, style and inspiration favourites for March! I’ve got some real goodies! Let’s dive right in!
Style
I recently went to Nordstrom and bought myself a gorgeous, marble designed Recover Gemstone Case for my phone. I went all out with phone accessories and also picked up a rose gold Hammered Metal Popsocket. They look great together and they keep me from smashing my phone every two seconds. Win-win!
If you know me, you know that I love to support female entrepreneurs. I recently came across this awesome Baseball Cap from Brunette the Label, with the perfect inscription: Uplift. Super cute, super casual, super cozy. Check it out.
I’m all over having a bit of an assist when it comes to sucking in the legs, butt, and thighs when you’re feeling less than fabulous. Spanx has a pair of Faux Leather Camo Leggings that can be dressed up or dressed down. They’re so comfortable and very versatile. Love them.
I recently got a Mejuri Essential Ear Cuff from my cousin as a gift. It’s such an awesome piece of jewelry because you don’t need to be pierced to use it. You can put it up higher on your ear or use it as a nose cuff, whatever style you feel like going with on any particular day. Check it out!
Sunatann Colour Me Dark Sunless Tanning Lotion is my new jam. I admit I think I look my most fierce when I have some colour! @anna.suntannas created this lotion, another amazing female entrepreneur. It smells gorgeous, doesn’t have a gross orange undertone and comes with a Keep Me Golden Sun Tanning Mist as well as the mitts to apply. Annnd Anna also has a Hydrate Me Coconut Mango Lotion to die for. Mine is empty. I love it. I put it on religiously after I shower, underneath my tanning products. Your skin is your body’s biggest organ, so you want to use something natural, organic and good for you! I highly recommend it!
If you like to bring your makeup with you when you’re on the road, the Fancy Face Perfect Pouch is excellent. It’s padded, roomy and super cute inside and out.

Beauty
Patrick Ta is a fabulous celebrity makeup artist who is renowned and respected in the industry. He came out with his own brand, and I adore the Monochrome Moment – Velvet Blush in “She’s Passionate”. It’s a beautiful, pinky-peachy colour that adds a perfect flush to any skin tone.
Charlotte Tilbury’s Glowgasm in “Pinkgasm” is a lovely blush highlighter wand that is great for adding a hydrated, glowing flush to your cheeks. If you have drier skin, in particular, it will work for you without making you look oily.
Pomegranate Noir Perfume by Jo Malone smells like class. So get it.
Our neighbours over here at our Fancy Face Shop are amazing. They’re called Skin Worthy and they’re a husband and wife business. They carry several products at their shop including the Zo Skin Complexion Renewal Pads. I’ve fallen for them. I’ve used them all. I need more. When you rub them on your face it’s like they’re toning and exfoliating at the same time and it feels wonderful and luxurious! A little hack for you: you can rip them in half to get more bang for your buck. You will be left glowing. Zo Skin also has an Exfoliating Polish (that’s also almost gone) that is excellent. If you can only go for one, I’d say pads first. Then polish. Go now!
Jouer Cosmetics as a gorgeous range of new Highlighters, mine is called Skinny Dip. This shade is a blend of gold and pink, so it’s great for tanned to deep-toned skin.
I also recently invested in a new foundation. I am loving Charlotte Tilbury’s Airbrush Flawless Foundation in Warm 5. If you’re looking for coverage that looks like skin and not cake, this is it! Keep in mind it dries two shades darker than it looks when it’s applied. So when you’re trying it out at the store, let it dry completely before you decide if the colour is right for you.
Inspiration
My book of the month is Finding Chika by Mitch Albom. Before a flight coming home I walked into that shop you can stock up on goodies in before your flight. I came across this book, which is a bit of an autobiography about Mitch Albom, who was always career-focused, never a dad and never married. He took over an orphanage in Haiti. There, he met a little girl named Chika who came down with an illness. Mitch and his girlfriend brought her back to America to be treated and adopted her. The book is really about Mitch learning what he missed out on having chosen to not be a father, and what Chika taught him when they took her under their wing. It is so touching and beautiful…I was aggressively crying for the whole flight. Probably much to the confusion of the people sitting next to me on the plane…As a parent, it hits even harder. There was one part I wanted to share with you but I’d seriously start balling again so all I’m going to say is READ IT.
